Earthborn has been making eco-friendly clay paint since 2002. It has a range of shades on a par with many of the well known ‘non-acrylic’ brands, so if you want to create a beautiful home without damaging a natural one, it’s a good choice. Of course, not decorating at all is better for the environment, but that’s not realistic. So if we’re going to do it, it makes sense to choose less harmful products. The palette is calming and timeless – expect pale neutrals and soft pastels through to rich blues, verdant greens and dark greys, all worthy of the finest walls.
The paints are a healthy option too, suitable for those with asthma or allergies, due to the ingredients. The clay emits negative ions (same as sea air, which is one of the reasons we feel so good being on a beach) and reduces dust and allergens. Imagine that, paint a room and feel like you’ve been on holiday, or at least breathe better..
Earthborn holds an EU Ecolabel too, which can’t be bought, unlike some other accreditations.
