Elegant Herringbone Throws created from single-use plastic

Believe it or not, these chic Scandinavian-style Herringbone blankets from Weaver Green, are made from recycled plastic bottles, around 50 each to be more precise. Soft to the touch, with the same texture as wool or jute, the throws are moth-proof, machine washable and hard-wearing. Suitable for indoor or outdoor use, they’re perfect for picnics or to snuggle under on alfresco evenings, when the temperature dips.

Available in six elegant shades, Gooseberry, Navy, Dove Grey, Shell, Chinchilla & Tabby, £45 each, 230×130 cm

Based in Salcombe, Devon, Weaver Green founders Tasha and Barney are on a mission to help clear up some of the 35 billion plastic bottles that end up in the sea or landfill every year, and transform them into something useful and longer lasting. After seven years, spent perfecting their recycled textiles, the result is a beautiful collection of blankets, rugs, footstools, cushions, pet beds and bags.
